"What does Jesus mean to you?" That is the last question in the first chapter of a bible study I am preparing to teach. What a loaded question, I could write a book on what Jesus means to me, and as I began to form the words in my mind to put to paper the same answer kept coming back to me; "Peace". That's the one word that say's it all. I speak his name and I have peace.
In this time when there are wars, and earthquakes and economic crisis, I have peace. No matter what is going on in my life, good, bad, or indifferent I have peace in the name of Jesus. Just call his name "Jesus" Prince of Peace.

God of all Comfort
When we accept Christ as our Savior that does not exempt us from trials and hardships. What it does guarantee us is that He will be there to lead and guide us and even carry us when we are experiencing these times. He is there in the good and bad times of our lives.
The bible prepares us for the rough times in life, it even gives examples of the past Saints of God and what they endured and came through when they called upon Him. From Isaac, Ruth, Job and even David just to name a few.
When the times in my life are really rough and I feel that I am not going to make it through I draw strength from these illustrations of Gods mercy and love.
II Corinthians 1:3-5 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.
II Corinthians 4:17-18 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Romans 8:18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
